Wallop is the trading name for Stephen Wall.

Stephen Wall is the principal of Wall Operations, WALLOP. He works in association with a number of other experienced specialists in the digital media arena.

In 1974 Wall co-founded information agency and publisher Horan Wall & Walker. From 1976 the firm continued under his sole ownership and control until it was listed on the ASX in 1999 as HWW Limited, with Wall as CEO. The company was sold to Ninemsn in April 2006.

Stephen Wall built his print publishing experience at HWW. Under his leadership, the company published a number of ground-breaking Australian books, magazines and websites – the best known of which are Cheap Eats in Sydney and Melbourne, The Bargain Shopper’s Guides, The Sydney Baby Book,Your Mortgage Magazine, yourmortgage.com.au, yourmovies.com.au, yourrestaurants.com.au and yourtv.com.au

Stephen Wall’s digital publishing and communications experience began way back with the creation of some of Australia’s first database-to-typeset page production systems. The applications and systems invented here led to the creation of a number of award-winning websites. He is familiar with large scale database systems and all popular internet, digital, mobile and publishing systems and platforms.

With HWW staffer Tony Shannon, Wall founded Australian Property Monitors. This company became a joint venture with Fairfax Media and provided products and services to help buyers, sellers, investors, real estate professionals, banks and financial institutions make better-informed decisions about property and the Australian property market in general. APM monitored property activity from a variety of sources including government and semi-government agencies, real estate advertising, real estate agents and APM’s own researchers. This vast range of sources ensured APM’s databases contained the latest and most detailed information available. The company was sold to Fairfax in 2006. It had a database of ten million property transactions at that time
